Among tumors in rabbits, uterine tumors are among the most common.

Among uterine tumors, uterine adenocarcinoma is reported to be the most frequent type in multiple studies from Japan, Thailand, and Germany.

Furthermore, a study from Finland found that 44% of rabbits considered clinically healthy had uterine abnormalities detected on histopathological examination.

It has also been reported that the risk of malignant uterine tumors increases with age.

In clinical practice, uterine tumors are commonly encountered in rabbits, and treatment is frequently required.

For this reason, we recommend spaying female rabbits as a preventive measure.
