金曜ワークショップ👀 4/10

今日は金曜ワークショップの日✨

今回のテーマは「elaborate（もう少し詳しく話す）」。

Y.M.のリードで、MさんとKさんがいろいろな質問に答えながら、少しずつ話を広げる練習をしました。

たとえば、「最近楽しかったことは？」という質問に対して、ただ一言で終わらせるのではなく、「どうして楽しかったのか」「どんな場面だったのか」まで話していきます。

Mさんは、桜を見ながらのハイキングの話がとても印象的でした🌸

天気も良くて、ご主人との思い出と重なる素敵な時間だったそうです。

さらに、北海道旅行の思い出や、最近車を手放したという新しいチャレンジについてもシェアしてくれました。

一方Kさんは、とてもアクティブ！

「家にいるより外に出る方が好き」というスタイルで、一人旅やお出かけを楽しんでいる様子が伝わってきました。

長野や上田の旅の話や、7月に予定している韓国旅行の話もワクワクしますね✨

今回のセッションを通して感じたのは、

**「少しだけ詳しく話すだけで、会話がぐっと豊かになる」**ということ。

シンプルな英語でも、気持ちや背景をプラスするだけで、ぐっと伝わりやすくなるんですね😊

Today was our Friday English conversation session ✨

The theme this time was “elaborate”—learning how to express ideas in a little more detail.

Led by Y.M., participants M. and K. practiced expanding their answers by adding reasons and examples.

Instead of giving short answers, they tried to explain *why* and *how*, making their stories more engaging.

M. shared a lovely story about her recent cherry blossom hike 🌸

It reminded her of a similar experience with her husband last year, which made it even more special. She also talked about her memorable trip to Hokkaido and a recent life change—selling her car and starting to use a family vehicle.

K., on the other hand, showed a very active lifestyle.

She mentioned that she prefers going out rather than staying at home, and enjoys exploring new places. Her solo trips to Nagano and Ueda sounded inspiring, and she’s also looking forward to visiting Korea this July ✨

What stood out in today’s session was this simple idea:

**Adding just a little more detail can make a big difference in communication.**

Even with simple English, sharing a bit more background makes conversations much richer and more meaningful. 😊
