Learning about each other a lot! / Meeting #384

Chofu Freeflight Toastmasters Club held the No. 384 meeting on May 9 at the Chofu Civic Cultural Center Tazukuri and online. 

Throughout the meeting, there were more scenes where we revealed ourselves than usual, creating an unique opportunity for us to learn about each other. 

The very veteran member, TM Y, who just received the Order from government, conducted the table topic speech session. He asked questions about outdated technology — such as telegrams, telephone cards, public pay phones, movies and radios, which revealed part of our life style. 

For a prepared speech, TM E gave a fun quiz about her recent lifestyle — she is on diet! On the contrary, TM M made a speech about nursing her mother at home. 

Toastmaster of the day was the founder TM K, who gave us new knowledge about the Orders in a quiz style for the warm up session, celebrating TM Y’s achievement. 

Our next meeting will be Saturday, May 23, 14:00-16:00, at Chofu Tazukuri Room No. 1103.

調布フリーフライト・トーストマスターズクラブは、5月9日、調布市文化会館たづくりおよびオンラインにて第384回例会を開催しました。 

今回の例会は、普段以上にメンバーの素顔が垣間見える場面が多く、お互いへの理解を深める貴重な機会となりました。 

テーブルトピックス（即興スピーチ）セッションは、叙勲を受けられたばかりの超ベテラン、TM Yさんが担当。電報、テレホンカード、公衆電話、映画、ラジオといった「一昔前の技術」に関する出題を通じ、それぞれのライフスタイルが浮き彫りになりました。 

準備スピーチでは、TM Eさんが現在取り組んでいるダイエットに関する楽しいクイズを出題した一方、TM Mさんはお母様の在宅介護についてのスピーチを行いました。 

例会全体の司会（TMOD）は、創立者のTM Kさんが務め、ウォームアップでは、TM Yさんの快挙を祝して、勲章に関する知識をクイズで出題しました。 

次回の例会は、5月23日（土）14:00～16:00、調布市文化会館たづくり 1103会議室にて開催予定です。
