Washi Ring Yarn

This time, we'd like to introduce ring yarn made with washi paper.

This ring yarn uses cotton yarn for the core and binding threads, and finely slit washi paper for the flower threads. Since it's 100% cotton and washi paper, it's an environmentally friendly eco-yarn.

Naturally, it's different from regular yarn, making the twisting process quite challenging.

Washi paper is a highly functional material with properties such as moisture absorption/release and heat insulation, but it's also a traditional material with a history of about 1400 years.

In recent years, awareness of environmental considerations, such as SDGs, has been increasing, but perhaps it's good to refocus on the merits of such traditional materials.

The yarn count is 1/8.3

The unique crispness of washi paper gives this yarn a nice texture.
