These gloves use Protex, which offers even higher flame retardancy than Kanekalon.

The Protex used here is of the Protex Q type.

Protex Q is an environmentally friendly fiber that meets the Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 Class 1 standard.

The Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 is "a mark of the world's highest standard of safe textile products, awarded only to products that have cleared rigorous analytical tests targeting over 350 hazardous chemicals. Class 1 means that the safety level is recognized to the point that it can be used in baby products, and it is rare to find flame-retardant gloves with this level of safety.

The fiber we blended with Protex Q is Bemberg from Asahi Kasei Corporation.

Bemberg is also a very environmentally friendly fiber and is compatible with Protex Q.
