皆さん、こんにちは！武蔵小杉トーストマスターズクラブです😊
第530回例会を開催しました。
今回は2名の新会員の入会式が行われ、新たな仲間を迎える記念すべき例会となりました。さらにゲスト1名にもご参加いただき、笑顔あふれるひとときとなりました。
また、例会の冒頭では、今年度クラブが「Select Distinguished Club」に選出されたことも報告され、うれしいニュースでスタートしました。
📖 今日の言葉
「心待ちにする」
夏を心から楽しみにしている気持ちを表す言葉として選ばれました。参加者それぞれが楽しみにしていることを紹介しながら、和やかな雰囲気で進行しました。
💬 テーブルトピックス
今回のテーマは「夏休みの楽しみ」。
・「1週間だけ日本国内で夏休み留学するなら？」
・「500万円で夏休みを過ごすなら？」
・「10年前の自分に『夏はこれを体験しておけ』と勧めるなら？」
・「夏と聞いて思い出す匂い・味・音」
・「夏がほとんどない国から来た人に勧めたい日本の夏」 ⭐ベストテーブルトピックス賞
京都で日本文化を学びたいという夢や、ブラジルの絶景への憧れ、過去を振り返って得た気づき、「まず病院です！」というユーモアあふれる切り口から高校野球観戦の魅力を紹介するスピーチなど、個性豊かな即興スピーチが続き、会場は笑いに包まれました。
🎤 準備スピーチ
今回は3名が、スピーチを披露しました。
「誰もいない乗り場で、未来を待つ」
地方交通やライドシェアの課題を通して、変化を受け入れることの大切さを問いかけるスピーチでした。
「塞翁失馬」
失敗の経験を振り返りながら、時間が経つことで見えてくる学びや、「結果責任」と「説明責任」について深く考えさせられるスピーチでした。
「これまでの道のりで学んだこと」 ⭐ベストスピーカー賞
「人生は何が起きたかではなく、どう向き合ったか」をテーマに、挑戦する勇気やコミュニティの大切さを語り、多くの共感を集めました。
📝 論評
準備スピーチの後には、それぞれのスピーカーに対して論評が行われました。
良かった点を具体的に伝えるだけでなく、さらに良いスピーチにするためのアドバイスも送られ、話し手も聞き手も多くの学びを得る時間となりました。
総合論評では、例会全体の進行や各ロールテイカーへの温かく的確なフィードバックが贈られました。

Hello everyone from Musashi-Kosugi Toastmasters Club! 😊
We held our 530th club meeting, which was filled with learning, laughter, and celebration.
This meeting featured an induction ceremony for two new members, making it a memorable occasion as we welcomed new friends to our club. We were also delighted to have a guest join us.
At the beginning of the meeting, we were pleased to announce that our club has been recognized as a Select Distinguished Club, giving everyone another reason to celebrate.
📖 Word of the Day
"look forward to."
It was chosen to express the excitement of eagerly anticipating the joys of summer. Members shared what they were looking forward to, creating a warm and cheerful atmosphere.
💬 Table Topics
The Table Topics session was themed "Summer Vacation Fun."
• "If you could study anywhere in Japan for one week during summer vacation, where would you go?"
• "How would you spend your summer vacation if you had five million yen?"
• "What summer experience would you recommend to yourself ten years ago?"
• "What smell, taste, or sound reminds you of summer?"
• "What part of a Japanese summer would you recommend to someone from a country with almost no summer?" ⭐ Best Table Topics
Speakers shared a wide variety of creative ideas—from learning about Japanese culture in Kyoto and visiting the beautiful landscapes of Brazil to recommending high school baseball after humorously beginning with, "First, I'd recommend going to a hospital!" The session was full of laughter, imagination, and memorable stories.
🎤 Prepared Speeches
Three members delivered inspiring speeches on very different topics.
"Waiting for the Future at an Empty Bus Stop"
This speech explored the challenges facing local transportation and ride-sharing while encouraging us to embrace change.
"Saiō ga Uma (A Blessing in Disguise)"
Reflecting on personal setbacks, the speaker shared how time can change our perspective and encouraged us to think deeply about responsibility and accountability.
"Lessons from My Journey So Far" ⭐ Best Speaker
With the message, "Life is not about what happens to us, but how we respond," the speaker inspired the audience with stories about courage, growth, and the importance of community.
📝 Speech Evaluations
Each prepared speech received thoughtful evaluations highlighting both strengths and practical suggestions for improvement.
The General Evaluator also provided valuable feedback on the overall meeting and the performance of the meeting role takers, helping everyone continue to grow as communicators and leaders.
