Search for any files or folders with the program’s name or developer’s name in the ~/Library/Preferences/, ~/Library/Application Support/ and ~/Library/Caches/ folders. Right click on those items and click Move to Trash to delete them.

My favorite search engine is Opera will allow me to add to the list of search engines; but, it won't let me move it up to be one of the defaults. Firefox has always allowed me to add search engines and make any one of them the default.

Chrome 70 arrived in October 2018 and bought security fixes, but it did also make it possible for users to stop the browser from automatically signing into their Google account (a controversial feature of the previous version).
