Trip to Okinawa 14 Cave for evacuation

IE jima has the vary sad history that it had been bombed severely during the second world war.

However some people could survive even such a situation.

Following picture of cave was the place for evacuation working as the shied from the storm of bombing.

Now there was the stairs as the entrance for the visitors to see inside the cave.

The sea seemed like it had known everything what happened in the past.

Now the sea was making only the little sound of waves and was beautiful.

But still I got the cruel image of the tragedy in the war.

Next picture was taken of angle from the bottom to the upside.

This is the cave where about 1,000 people had stayed and survived from bombing.

It made us feel sad but still it should be remained for us not to forget the important lesson learned.

We had several times there for thinking about the gap of cruel past and the beautiful color of the sea.
