スミレに似た可憐な花が咲き、先端が二つに割れためしべは触れると閉じるという性質があり、虫などが運んできた花粉を確実に取り込みます。熱帯原産のため暑さに強く、初夏から秋まで旺盛に生育します。花言葉は「ひらめき」

It blooms pretty violet-like flower and its stamen which tip splitted into two has the feature of closing when touched ensuring that it takes in pollen carried by insects. It is a tropical plant resistant to heat and grows vigorously from early summer to autumn. The flower message is “inspiration”.
