#366 Bilingual Meeting - Rookies Competition

The 366th meeting was a special bilingual one as to accommodate the In-House Rookie Contest. Grammarian for the day MN-san sticking to the bilingual theme introduced us two words "No matter what /がむしゃらに". TMOD for the day was Mr.Cool himself YY-san who wore his hoodie and shades to affirm that. After the introduction of the helpers the control was handed off to the Table topic Master AK-san. Her theme was to make an impromptu speech introducing the given person. Then came the prepared speeches which meant the rookie contest as well. Since it was a bilingual meeting, we had 3 Japanese speeches and 2 English speeches.  NK-san talked about her tenacious fight against pigeons in her balcony, while NS-san talked about her experience in Bouldering and YS-san delivered a heart warming speech about his father. Then KF-san shared his experiences about taking new challenges in the work place and PP-san talked about the climate crisis. Then VPE Hasegawa presented  KH-san with the certificate of Advanced Communicator Silver awarded by the Toastmaster International. The award session was as followed, Best Evaluator KH-san, Best Table Topic Speaker YY-san and The Best Speaker and the Winner of the In-House Rookie Contest was YY-san who will represent our club in the Kanagawa Rookie Contest in November.
