HEROS' Cafe Vol.66【ふらっと】英会話カフェを開催しました。 Organized a language exchange event

I organized the 66th language exchange meetup. 

英会話カフェvol.66を開催しました。

We had a new participant who is from the Philippines and studying Japanese.  

Thank you all for coming this time. 

今回も新しい参加者が、しかもフィリピンから日本語を勉強しに来ている方が来てくれました。

参加してくださったみなさん、ありがとうございました。

I hold this meeting so we can have an exchange, but I get nervous every time I speak English. 

言語交換のために開催しているはずなのに、実際に話すとなるとなぜか毎回、緊張してしまいます。

I already had a theme but we went nuts over talking about our own introductions. So I didn't care about the theme. 

今回はテーマを用意していたのですが、自己紹介からのフリートークが盛り上がったので、そのままずっとテーマ無視で話し続けました。

I like to do free talking like this but I realized it's tough to communicate with them even if I can speak English. 

こういうのもありかなと思いつつも、「ただ英語を話せるだけ」ではコミュニケーションは難しいことを思い知らされました。

It's much harder for foreigners to just live in Japan than I thought. They need to prepare somewhere to live, something to eat and wear, everything is needed. 

海外から来た人たちが東京で暮らすというのは、日本人の僕たちが想像している以上に難しいことです。住む場所はもちろん食べ物も着る物もすべて、ゼロから自分でそろえなければなりません。

It's also very hard to find shops in foreign countries even if the Internet has been improved. 

She goes back and forth between a Japanese school and a restaurant where she works so hard everyday, but she talked with us with a smile without showing struggles. 

We all spoke English but I hope we speak Japanese too next time. 

インターネットが発達した今でも、外国でお店を見つけることはとても大変なのです。

毎日を日本語学校とアルバイト先のレストランを往復する彼女は、それでも辛さを見せず、なんでも笑顔で話してくれました。

今回はまだほぼ英語のみでのお話でしたが、次回はもう少し日本語を増やして話したいですね。
