Japanese Film Festival (JFF) in India/インド日本映画祭

The 3rd edition of Japanese Film Festival in India has been hosted by the Japan Foundation, New Delhi, in collaboration with PVR and powered by Eneos. For the very first day of the festival, the most famous Japanese film director of the moment, Makoto Shinkai, visited India and the festival opened with the premier screening of ‘Weathering with You’, the latest film of the director, followed by a Q&A session with his Indian fans!! I was fortunate enough to attend the event and enjoyed feeling the Indian fans’ excitement to the film and the director. The film festival lasts to the 6th October and tours to six major cities of India.

今年で3度目となるインドでの日本映画祭を、国際交流基金ニューデリー日本文化センターが、PVR、スポンサーのエネオスと共催中です。その初日に、今最も有名な日本の映画監督、新海誠監督が来印しました。映画祭は、彼の最新作「天気の子」のインド プレミア上映で幕を開け、初日は、監督とインドの新海ファンとのQ&Aセッションで締めくくられました。幸運にも、会場にお邪魔することができ、インドのアニメや新海ファンの熱さを感じました。映画祭は、デリー、グルガーオンで10/6まで行われ、インドの主要6都市を回る予定だそうです。
