「縁がありましたら」は、ビジネスなどで別れるときに使います。

"If we have en again" is a phrase used when you've completed a business project or in similar situations. 

It is equivalent to the English phrase "I hope our paths will cross again someday."

「ご」をつけると、もっとていねいになります。

　例：またご縁がありましたら、どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。

Adding the prefix go will make the word more polite. 

縁談 (marriage proposal) などを断るときにも使います。

It is also used when declining a marriage proposal. 

　　　ご縁がなかったということで・・。

語源（ごげん）etymology

縁（えん）　fate 

縁は、仏教の 因縁（いんねん）、縁起（えんぎ）、因果（いんが）という考え方から来ています。

The word en came from the Buddhist ideas innen, engi, and inga.

因縁（いんねん）・・・ すべてのものに要因がある

    primary or first cause; linked cause・・・   everything has a cause.

縁起（えんぎ）・・・要因に縁がはたらいて何かが起きる

    dependent origination  ・・・ en binds a cause to something that happens

因果（いんが）・・・要因と結果はいつもつながっている。

   causality・・・  cause and effect are always connected

縁は要因と結果をつなぐものです。

en is a liaison between a cause and its effect. 

たとえば、外国人と日本人が結婚した場合、原因は、「日本語の勉強」で、結果は「日本人と結婚」になります。

しかし、それは好きな日本のアニメが縁になっていて、そのアニメを作った人も、アニメを作った人も、そのつくった人の両親も縁になっています。

For example, let's say a foreigner marries a Japanese person. The reason (cause) might be "Japanese study" and the effect "marrying a Japanese person."

However, Japanese anime could be the liaison that connects them, in which case the people who make the anime as well as their parents would be also liaisons.

人だけではありません。植物（しょくぶつ) の要因は種（たね)です。しかし、

太陽と水がなかったら、そだちません。太陽と水が縁なのです。

This concept doesn't just apply to people. Seeds are the cause of plants. If there is no sunlight or water, however, seeds won't grow. The sun and water are en.
