光の画家 松井守男が描いた鎮守の杜 熊野神社 | Morio Matsui drawing Kumano Jinja

　松井守男氏はフランスコルシカ島在住の洋画家です。

　1942年生れ。美術大学卒業と同時にフランス政府奨学生としてフランスに渡りパリを拠点に制作活動を始め、アカデミー・ジュリアンやパリ国立美術学校に学びます。パブロ・ピカソとの出会いによって大きな影響を受けます。2000年にフランス政府より芸術文化勲章、2003年にレジオンドヌール勲章を受章しました。パブロ・ピカソが90歳のときから95歳で亡くなるまでの最晩年の5年間、アトリエに自由に出入りし、ピカソの仕事にも関わった人物です。

　「神社らしいたたずまいにパワーを感じる」と熊野神社に魅了され自ら制作を願い出て、来日するたびに足を運んで本殿やご神木など五十一点を描き、作品を神社に奉納しました。2月16日～18日、境内の参集殿で作品の一部を展示、16日午後には松井氏自らも来場しました。

Morio Matsui is a Japanese artist who lives and works in France.

He was born in 1942. He moved to France as a French government scholar upon graduation from Art University and continued his studies at the Académie Julian and the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, and started his creative work based in Paris. He is great influenced by Pablo Picasso. Morio Matsui was awarded the Order of Arts and Letters (2000) and the "Legion of Honor" (2003). During the very last five years of Pablo Picasso from the age of 90 to his death age of 95, he was free to enter the atelier and was involved in Picasso's work.

He was fascinated by Kumano Jinja (Shrine) "Feel the power in the style of a shrine, he wish production. Every time he came to Japan, he came the shrine to draw 51 works, including the main shrine and the sacred tree, and dedicated his works to the shrine. On February 16th - 18th, a part of the works are exhibited at the shrine hall,

on the afternoon of the 16th, Mr. Matsui himself came to the exhibition.
