Horror movie logic: Literally everyone saying: Dont go to that house Main character: Goes to the house. Than later in the movie he/she asks him/herself: Why are we dying?😭😭.

Man, I remember when I was five years old, I went to watch the first spiderman movie at theaters. It brought me tears of fear when the Green Goblin made those jumpscares.

Spiral out, keep going. O grito filme completo. This movie is awful. It's already out here in Portugal and I watched it yesterday. It's totally derivative from the 2004 film, it even copies the messed up timeline from the original movie. It has no impact, there's not an ounce of creativity, it's not even entertaining. The characters suck, and what is John Cho doing in this? After Searching, The Exorcist and Twilight Zone, how can he star in such a bad movie? And I'm done with Lin Shaye. She gained popularity with her role in Insidious but every other movie that I've seen her in is absolutely terrible. The Grudge 2020 is a complete disaster, it's such a horrible mess. You'll find yourself gaping at the screen in horror for having spent your hard-earned money in this crap once the movie ends abruptly and the credits start rolling.

Although this movie had no reason to exist, I went to watch it in my local cinema. I hoped that I would be positively surprised, as with last years escape room. Maybe it would even be better than the 2004 version, who knows? oh boy how wrong was i.
What you get is a film without content, storyline or atmosphere. I was not afraid for one single moment.
Conclusion: the second worst film in the whole franchise (the grudge 3 is slightly worse. Suitable for people who love james wang movies like The Nun.
