The pair’s various shenanigans include selling drugs at a house party, evading the cops, and Zeke coaxing Mo into getting a “Tongue Daddy! ” tattoo across his chest (which, understandably, doesn’t go over well with the latter’s father, played by Jon Cryer). The film — which also stars Machine Gun Kelly and Sydney Sweeney — premiered to positive reviews at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival, where writer-director Jason Orley competed for the festival’s Grand Jury Prize. In her review, EW’s Leah Greenblatt called the movie “a sweetly crass comedy that walks the line between John Hughes and Jackass and more often than not, deliberately fails its sobriety test. ” In addition to his work on SNL, Davidson’s big-screen profile has increased in recent years, with small roles in the Netflix comedy Set It Up and Amy Schumer’s 2015 hit Trainwreck. He can be seen later this year in Judd Apatow’s SXSW-debuting dramedy King of Staten Island and John Turturro’s Big Lebowski spin-off The Jesus Rolls. Big Time Adolescence premieres in select theaters on March 13, followed by its Hulu streaming debut on March 20. Watch the film’s full trailer above. Theatrical country usa sockshare big time adolescence 2016. Griffin Gluck attends Netflix's "Locke & Key" series premiere. Getty Images Griffin Gluck grew up in the industry. His father is a director, his mother a freelance producer. His sister seemed destined for Hollywood, too. “When I was 7 and my sister was 10, she got really into plays. My parents thought she was the artistic one and I was the sports guy, ” Gluck says. It turned out they had it backwards. Gluck decided his sister’s plays looked fun, “and it turned out I sucked at soccer. ” So Gluck tried out for the next play. His sister wasn’t overly fond of sharing the stage with her brother, so she quit acting—and, in a lovely Hollywood-type twist, she took up soccer. She became so good at it, she received a scholarship to college. And Gluck? Well, he got pretty good at the acting thing, too, with a mile-long resume full of acting credits after more than a decade in films and TV. And his 2020 is off to a strong start. He recently co-starred in the Netflix mystery drama Locke & Key, which premiered earlier this month. And Big Time Adolescence, a movie he co-starred in last year with Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson, was recently picked up by Hulu. The film will receive a limited nationwide release on March 13 before rolling out on the streaming service a week later. In it, Gluck plays Mo, a high school student who idolizes his older sister’s ex-boyfriend, Zeke, played by Davidson. Zeke is actually a loser, but Mo sees character in him, and there’s sweetness beneath the plethora of penis jokes. “Zeke’s the only one treats Mo like a cool kid, ” Gluck says. The film showed at the Sundance Film Festival last year, Gluck’s first time attending the famed event. “It was such a crazy experience from the start. Most of my friends got the script for this. Everyone was up for it, ” Gluck says. “Working on the movie, everyone was so friendly. That made it feel like a family. The script was fantastic. Everything about it was great. Working with Pete Davidson, Sydney Sweeney, Jon Cryer. It was an awesome role to be able to do. ” While he played the nice kid in Adolescence and Tall Girl, a romantic comedy on Netflix last year, Gluck enjoyed a chance to switch gears in Locke, which was produced by Lost ’s Carlton Cuse. For Gluck, a longtime fan of the ABC drama, working with Cuse was a thrill. “I was actually part of a huge twist that was just very exciting. I usually only do good guy parts, ” Gluck says. “I got to push out of my comfort zone, and I’ve spoken to Carlton and Meredith Averill [another executive producer] about what might be to come if we get picked up for season two. ”.
