ORPHAN. This was an underrated movie man. I thought it was so good. Tool is my tool to complete myself. Be Patient, now... If you're going to see any 2020 movie in January, make sure it isn't The Grudge. It's a jumbled, convoluted, and altogether cringeworthy horror outing that tries to make disgusting things scary (blood, dirty bath water, garbage, spit, worms, flies, corpses. The performances are absolutely lame, which is even more upsetting since the film has two Oscar nominees at its helm. Plot holes and inconsistencies also add to the nonsense and take away from the scare factor and altogether just make it more boring.

The Kayako's curse really works on the movie, it is just awfully bad.
The trailer says it is a 'Twisted New Vision' to shift the plot into something new but somehow the director/screenwriter doesn't do his research, it's another horror movie done 100 times. The movie is also slow with no exciting details. Unnecessary dialogues further drag the movie with no developments. No interesting characters. Plot holes? Don't mention it. A lot. And the ending. oh my God. It's that another, Okay we did it, we defeated the ghost, only to realize later that the ghost is one step ahead of them and bam! End credits title shows up.'
However, some of the things are great. One of them is the lighting. It really feels very dark and ominous all the time. Second, the main girl who also acted in the Crocodile episode of Netflix's Black Mirror, she pulls it off excellently for a performance in a horror film. Finally, though jumpscares is a lousy technique, the final 30 minutes is full with effective ones.
Overall, it is a movie that you should watch only if you love any of the actors/crews involved in this film or if you love The Grudge series very much.

This movie excaly surprised me I love the grudge American remake but I was only going to this movie because my bro wanted to go to a movie And it was that new bad boys movie or the grudge And I found myself just mindblown how creepy and gory it was for another haunted demon/ghost movie I have haven't seen a good haunted demon/ghost movie since Annabelle 2 I excaly think the conjuring universe milked those movies dry So in sort words I thought this movie was pretty good.
