Regarding Measures to Prevent COVID-19 Infection & Predictable Revision in Schedule of Conference

    Currently, the influence of the coronavirus has been spreading worldwide. In Japan, people are urged to avoid visiting crowded places and using public transportation as well as holding events as parts of countermeasures against the coronavirus. Under these circumstances, we are sharing the common consciousness of organizing the 18th Japan-Israel-Palestine Joint Student Conference with safety and security.

　Therefore, we would like to judge whether we will hold the conference as scheduled or not, according to the following procedures.

［１］About The Decision to Hold The Conference

　About the conference scheduled to be held on this August, we will decide whether to hold or not by the beginning of June. The followings are the judging criteria.

　・The prohibition/restriction against traveling Japan is lifted by Israeli and Jordanian government

　・Declaration of the end of COVID‐19 by WHO

　On the condition that we meet one of the above items, we judge that it is safe to stay in Japan and hold the conference as scheduled.

［２］The Passage to The Decision

　We will decide the participants from Israel and Palestine by the beginning of April. As for Japanese participants, we plan to select by the end of May. Moreover, we will decide whether to hold the conference or not by the beginning of June.

　If we would determine not to conduct the conference, we will fully refund the participation fee and bear the additional fee for the money transfer.

　In case we determine to hold the conference, if you cancel your participation considering the influence of the coronavirus, you MUST pay the cancellation penalties according to the guideline (see below).

［３］In Case We Don't Carry Out The Conference

　In case the prohibition/ restriction against traveling Japan was not lifted and WHO does not declare the end of coronavirus by the beginning of June, we judge that it is difficult to hold the conference and will postpone it to next year.

　In that case, every participant from Israel and Palestine are entitled to join the conference without the screening processes. We will send you a notification about the 2021's conference around December. Therefore, if you still have a will and motivation to join the conference, please let us know at that moment.
