Are far from my favourite seasons but reading the sexist and homophobic comments about Jodie Whittaker and her companions makes me want to hurl.
Someone's review even went on about her hair having split ends - what on earth? How is that relevant? Going on about her appearance, hair, and clothes is the epitome of sexism.
Doctor Who has always had an inclusive "agenda" well before Jodie Whittaker became the Doctor. Anyone who loves the show is well aware of this.
My problem with seasons 11 and 12 is that it seems they felt they needed multiple companions (3 or 4 companions, really. to make up for the fact that the Doctor is female now. That's absurd. Like they are giving her extra companions because she doesn't have a penis.
I don't dislike Jodie Whittaker as the doctor but I find her and her companions dull in comparison to previous incarnations. I hope season 12 is Whittaker's and her companions last season, and that whoever takes on the role next, be they female, male, or otherwise, is more charismatic overall. I'd also like a new showrunner, as Chris Chibnall is just not up to par, considering the show's previous leaders - Russel T. Davies, and Steven Moffat were far superior writers.
Overall, I still give Doctor Who a 10/10, because it is still an infinitely hopeful and magical tv show that brings me great joy, even when it's just okay.

Started watching Season 12 3rd episode and it started out with the good old mindless action adventure. Then it all started to come a part, first the Token colored girl with a white mother then we moved on and guess what - yes it is earth in the future as they no longer seem to travel around the galaxy anymore. Then yes you guessed it - Global Warming has destroyed the planet and the last 15 seconds is a preaching monologue. I have been a Doctor Who fan all my life but can no longer handle the new "woke" version. Not many shows left to watch that are not trying to indoctrinate me into "their" thinking. This actually looks really promising after Series 11. I'm surprised. The female doctor episodes are so shocking they are going to kill the long running series.
Story lines are atrocious and is so so PC it is making the poor stories worse, it's not long now before we get a veggy and transgender companion to complete the set.
Please BBC get a new doctor and decent writers before it's too late.

Ryan and Yaz had that convo outside the Master's TARDIS with Yaz crying about thinking she was dead. One of the last great scenes in Dr Who. 2:18 pretty sure it was 1380 Aleppo, not 1830. 'The Woman Who Fell To Earth' is a pretty decent opener and functions as well as an introductory story can be, plus Jodie Whittaker did show some promise as Thirteen from the start. As far as introductions go for new eras of Modern Who, this doesnt have the reinvented zing of 'Rose. The Eleventh Hour' or even 'Deep Breath' but it did leave me cautiously optimistic and intrigued for the rest of Series 11, even if it did end up becoming my least favourite series of Modern Who overall by the end.

The merging timelines might also explain Earth becoming Orphan 55, because solar flare activity is supposed to render the planet uninhabitable instead of global warming & nuclear winter.
