reviews=In 14th Century Scotland, William Wallace leads his people in a rebellion against the tyranny of the English King, who has given English nobility the 'Prima Nocta' - a right to take all new brides for the first night. The Scots are none too pleased with the brutal English invaders, but they lack leadership to fight back. Wallace creates a legend of himself, with his courageous defense of his people and attacks on the English

Free Stream Pogumno scream. This is my favourite movie. When Mel said trade 1 tyrant 3000 miles away for 3000 tyrants 1 mile away, I thought that is so true. A Democrat tramples on people's rights all the time and Republicans are to damn stubborn to consider some change.
Most of us commenting on this were not alive then. My parents and grandparents were. I can't say if this is an accurate portrayal of Winston or not - maybe ask my parents, they were kids then. What I can say is this: my mother's Dad, stood watch night after night on a tower in Devonport, Plymouth, looking for Luftwaffe bombers and if they did come over, spotting the damage they did and calling in the emergency services to deal with it. And he and my Grandma listened to the radio every night for a word from the Prime Minister or the King that we were going to be all right in the end, that we were going to defend ourselves, at first, and later, that we were going to fight back and win - and they spoke, and they spoke truth, and they delivered what they promised - and we got strength from their words, strength to defend ourselves against seemingly overwhelming odds. That's what matters, never mind the pedantic details. And what Winston said, especially, put the spirit back into us when Adolf nearly blew it right out. The spirit that looks a bombed out East end of London in the face - makes a cup of tea, and says, bugger you bastards, I've got work to do, let's get started ! xxx.
Freedom. we Hongkongers are losing it.

Mel Gibson's Oscar-winning 1995 Braveheart is an impassioned epic about William Wallace, the 13th-century Scottish leader of a popular revolt against England's tyrannical Edward I (Patrick McGoohan. Gibson cannily plays Wallace as a man trying to stay out of history's way until events force his hand, an attribute that instantly resonates with several of the actor's best-known roles, especially Mad Max. The subsequent camaraderie and courage Wallace shares in the field with fellow warriors is pure enough and inspiring enough to bring envy to a viewer, and even as things go wrong for Wallace in the second half, the film does not easily cave in to a somber tone. One of the most impressive elements is the originality with which Gibson films battle scenes, featuring hundreds of extras wielding medieval weapons. After Eisenstein's Alexander Nevsky, Orson Welles's Chimes at Midnight, and even Kenneth Branagh's Henry V, you might think there is little new that could be done in creating scenes of ancient combat; yet Gibson does it.
Free Stream Pogumno. Its a great movie but also sad on some of the parts while I was watching the movie and it made my cry so much at the end 😢. Me: I wonder how this movie will end. Also me after watching the first Braveheart: oh yeah... FREEEEEE-DOOOOOM. Critics Consensus Distractingly violent and historically dodgy, Mel Gibson's Braveheart justifies its epic length by delivering enough sweeping action, drama, and romance to match its ambition. 77% TOMATOMETER Total Count: 77 85% Audience Score User Ratings: 32, 708, 456 Braveheart Ratings & Reviews Explanation Braveheart Videos Photos Movie Info Mel Gibson, long-time heartthrob of the silver screen, came into his own as a director with Braveheart, an account of the life and times of medieval Scottish patriot William Wallace and, to a lesser degree, Robert the Bruce's struggle to unify his nation against its English oppressors. The story begins with young Wallace, whose father and brother have been killed fighting the English, being taken into the custody of his uncle, a nationalist and pre-Renaissance renaissance man. He returns twenty years later, a man educated both in the classics and in the art of war. There he finds his childhood sweetheart Murron (Catherine McCormack), and the two quickly fall in love. There are murmurs of revolt against the English throughout the village, but Wallace remains aloof, wishing simply to tend to his crops and live in peace. However, when his love is killed by English soldiers the day after their secret marriage (held secretly so as to prevent the local English lord from exercising the repulsive right of prima noctae, the privilege of sleeping with the bride on the first night of the marriage), he springs into action and single-handedly slays an entire platoon of foot soldiers. The other villagers join him in destroying the English garrison, and thus begins the revolt against the English in what will eventually become full-fledged war. Wallace eventually leads his fellow Scots in a series of bloody battles that prove a serious threat to English domination and, along the way, has a hushed affair with the Princess of Wales (the breathtaking Sophie Marceau) before his imminent demise. For his efforts, Gibson won the honor of Best Director from the Academy; the movie also took home statuettes for Best Picture, Cinematography, Makeup, and Sound Effects. ~ Jeremy Beday, Rovi Rating: R (for brutal medieval warfare) Genre: Directed By: Written By: In Theaters: May 26, 1995 wide On Disc/Streaming: Aug 29, 2000 Runtime: 177 minutes Studio: Paramount Pictures Cast News & Interviews for Braveheart Critic Reviews for Braveheart Audience Reviews for Braveheart Braveheart Quotes Movie & TV guides.

The king of Scotland had died without a son, and the king of England, a cruel pagan known as Edward the Longshanks, claimed the throne of Scotland for himself. Scotland's nobles fought him, and fought each other, over the crown. So Longshanks invited them to talks of truce - no weapons, one page only. Among the farmers of that shire was Malcolm... I'm sure you've heard something about this movie, Braveheart. In Braveheart, Mel Gibson plays and becomes William Wallace, the leader of the Scottish rebellion. This movie takes place in the XII century, I watched Braveheart three days ago and already in the first view, we can see some inaccurate points. First, Wallace was not the children of a farmer. Seconde, he was not the leader and he wasn't appreciated by his people. Third, we can see the faces of Scots were painting in blue like the color of Scotland but this is not the good period. The Scots painted their faces against the Romans, a long time before. Finally, in the movie, Wallace was tortured and decapitated. His last word is "Freedom. But for a men who is being tortured, Mel Gibson didn't play it well because he don't cry, he didn't suffer. And history says we didn't know the last words of William Wallace. In my opinion, Mel Gibson wanted to do a great movie but he didn't care about the history, it's pity. However it's an amazing movie with the effort of Mel Gibson to do the Scottish accent and the battle scenes. If we take this movie seriously, it's ridiculous and I think the website Allociné has to change the type of this movie.
