The various systems of drafting people, putting them in a one year combat situation and then sending them home, the whole thing is surreal. Like I can't believe something like this actually happen.

Let's assume I'm a Zoomer who knows little to nothing about WW2 apart from the barely-surface material that gets taught in schools these days - what the Hell am I supposed to take away from this trailer? It doesn't tell me anything about the plot or the characters involved, about where it takes place or even the nationality of the people it's about (which is pretty damn important if you're talking about WW2 considering the international scope of the conflict. There's literally nothing to get invested in as an outsider to this movie except a bunch of pretty cinematography. Once again, I'm guessing based off the comments that this must be a good movie, which only makes me all the more upset at how half-assed this trailer is. It seems like the actors and the director really deserved better than this.

Immediately I was drawn into the film and felt as if I was sharing in the emotions of the characters. I had no concept of time or of how long I had sat there watching it. The images from the film especially from the main character have haunted me all my life, but I didn't know what the film was called until now. Thank You. Jon.
