The outcome of this proposal was to have some fun with the Arduino board and the Augmented Reality (AR) technology.

This project builded a robot car (with the Arduino board) that could be controlled from the distance for a user with a computer. The car was also able to capture video through a webcam and send it to that computer. The software developed controlled the car, managed the video and detected the AR fiducials/markers, which where replaced for 3D model items on screen.

Besides that, the car included an RFID reader, and each fiducial/marker had assigned one RFID card. As a result, when the car detected one of this RFID cards interpreted that the 3D item was picked up.

In the demo case, it was decided that the idea would be to search for a pirate's treasure, so the items became pieces of a treasure (diamonds, money). To finish the game all the items had to be picked up.
