It's refreshing to not see these guys all in crisp suits and vibrant colors. Seeing them in such casual stuff while actually eating and drinking while also discussing the family business is one of my favorite parts of this excellent movie. The contrast is so interesting in that these people are planning murder while having a big meal. The acts that they are planning don't affect their daily lives. Total sociopaths.
Completely agree. 2:50 and it was at that moment he knew it was Barzini all along. This scene shows why Michael deserved his heartbroken death. Al Lettieri (Sollozzo) is perfect. Even little things, like when Mike asks to go to the bathroom and his left eye twitches to indicate his radar is working, is brilliant. Brings back memories, I remember seeing this scene when I was like 6-7yrs old playing the Godfather video game on PS2, then one of my first PS3 games was The Godfather remastered. I was blown away, couldn't believe graphics could look like they did. But I couldn't really grasp what was happening in this scene, because I didn't watch the movie and if I did I would've either fallen asleep or not fully understand it. I remember watching the movie for the first time when I was like 16, fell in love with 1 & 2, and thinking Shit so that's what was going on.
