You would expect him to be a bit rusty on cam considering that he has not acted in any major role in a big picture like this for more than a decade. But he really shows talent and a lot of range here. The way I would describe Russell Buffalino is that he would be what Tommy Devito would have been if Paulie and Jimmy was able to straighten him out and help him discipline his temper. Now don't get it wrong, Buffalino is one cold sadistic fucker like Nicky Santoro or Tommy was. But he is not a lose cannonball. He will carefully plan your murder in the most gruesome fashion with complete composure. And after that has been carried out? he will take a warm shower and go to bed.
