#381 Online English Meeting (Club Officers Election)

Hello everyone. This is Kawano, VPPR(Vice President of Public Relations) at Musako.

This time we had annual club officers' election meeting!

Musako as well as other toastmasters clubs are run by their 7 officers.  

Up until this meeting, election committee had recommended 7 candidates to fill these roles for the next term (7/1/2020-6/30/2020). 

During this meeting, the club as a whole was to decide whether the 7 candidates are suitable.

How we decide ?  Of course, we take a democratic way per Toastmasters principal.   

Members give a cheering speech for each candidate.

Then, each candidate gives a speech to support himself/herself.   

Finally, the current president asks the members if they approve the candidate.  

I'm relieved to report that all the candidates were approved !!  (Meaning my term is almost over!   )

After the meeting was our favorite Zoom party time.  We enjoyed casual conversation over self-prepared drink and the party went on until mid-night!
