Year: 1978
Michael, Steven and Nick are young factory workers from Pennsylvania who enlist into the Army to fight in Vietnam. Before they go, Steven marries the pregnant Angela, and their wedding party also serves as the men's farewell party. After some time and many horrors, the three friends fall in the hands of the Vietcong and are brought to a prison camp in which they are forced to play Russian roulette against each other. Michael makes it possible for them to escape, but they soon get separated again

Michael Cimino Delivers a fantastic performance in The deer hunter, as it deals with Male friendship through Dark times and crisis to show much heart they have to overcome such great obstacles and how much its has affected and change their lives, it is uncertain what Michael Cimino's standing on the war but it is clear in this movie that he gives such a realistic and moving presentation on this film that it has inspired, open peoples eyes on the war itself and raise awareness on human nature of brutality, his great taste of landscape and atmospheric lighting has given the movie a life of its own.
With an A-list cast of Robert De Niro as Michael Vronsky, a goal oriented and self driven man with great heart, empathy and sensibility that marks as one of his best performance of his career and one of the best performances that has never won an Oscar and Christoper Walken in his Oscar winning performance as, these two have portrayed a great warmth and admiration between this two characters and a very realistic presentation of human emotion...
What a joke of a movie 🍿. This takes place were I live. Clairton, PA. Near Pittsburgh PA. I have sent this movie 19 times and this movie is my 5th favorite movie of all time and this movie teaches film makers how to build characters and how do a war movie and this teaches you what war can do to a person and I think the deer hunter is the 2 best Vietnam movie of-all time and I am inspiring movie Director and actor and writer and if you have a dream its anything is possible and if you wanting to do something this world you can do it but it takes a lots of work and keep making great videos.
Guess the administrator appreciated the fishing trip catch. I remember when this came out in theatres and me and my girlfriend went to see it. later, me and my buds had a get together with our girls and this movie came up in conversation. we all had seen it and started to discuss it. I clammed up and let them all talk. during the discussion of the movie, they all reverted to remember when they had done acts of destruction in their ashing mailboxes, throwing trash cans, jumping innocent people and all of that kind of mayhem. I said nothing but walked away knowing what pussy liars they all are were, having known them. lesson learned movie incited bravado in pussies at heart. one star outta five...
