Wie kann man so einen Film noch irgendwo cool finden, für mich sind die nach dem dritten Teil bzw. Tokio drift abgestürzt. schade. Der Film hat eine 12-minütige Plansequenz wie ich sie noch nie zuvor gesehen habe, einfach nur genial ! Ein Action-Porno-Meisterwerk. Hart, brutal und krass unterbewertet von Herrn Hofmann.

Sadly in "Rising High" it often seems like the producers took pieces of other movies and puzzled them randomly all together. For example the Montage-Scenes: they have been way too unspectacular to level up the movie. The Renovation scene for example had much more potential, when it would have been filmed way more dynamic.
The narrative structure had a big "Who am I" vibe. While in that movie all the backdrops do have a use for the story, here it clearly doesn't. In the end, it only left's questions on the viewers mind, like what the hell is that journalist even for?
Summed up "Rising High" is a nice movie to dabble in. Yes, here hasn't been created anything new, but when it comes down to German movies all there is: little steps are better than none.

Sehr gute Kritik! Kann dir nur zustimmen. Ich war eigentlich ständig innerlich auf der Seite der Justiz/des Finanzamtes. Was mir gefallen hat: die Optik, die Darstellung des Bankensektors, den Punkt, dass man erstmal nen Fuß in der Tür braucht und dass danach Geld das Geld reproduziert, und die Ausführungen zum Thema menschliche Gier. Der Drogenbaron verfolgt durch ein Fernglas das Geschehen auf der Brücke, sieht somit zum Ende wie Nik auf die Brücke geht und hätte sie erkennen müssen, da sie sowas wie seine Geliebte ist (Man erkennt sie am Tisch sitzen wo der Junge ihm seinen Finger bringt.
