Finally watched Episode 8. And well its cringy af, but not as bad as people made it out to be... especially the second half had some interesting hints to the future lore... or so i hope. The good will towards Star Wars generated by the original trilogy has now well and truly gone. 3 classic movies followed by 6+2 shocking movies.
A total lack of imagination in this the supposed last one. Nothing wrong with the acting just everything else about it is total rubbish.
You know it's bad when it makes the 3 prequels look good!
Whatever you do, do not pay to watch it you will feel robbed.

This is the end of the trilogy and I expected much more.
The cinema audience in my city reacts to most things very emotionally. This time it was as silent as the grave simply because so many decisions in the movie are lazily written. "Surprising" scenes for example where the character is presumed dead are poorly and cheaply executed. It was always known that they didn't really die because it wasn't convincing and because it was really a cheap way to die.
It was humble and brave that they revealed who exactly is Rey. However her origin story couldn't be more cliche. Oh no, she is supposed to choose sides just because her grandad is evil. That basically is the most cliche origin that you can find in most superhero comics. They brought poor Palpatin back just to make up a horrible uncreative villain story with the same motive of corrupting the main character.
That kiss between Rey and Kylo/Ben happened. Okay. That's fine that they did it for some fans. However it made no sense, their relationship since like forever had zero romance material. Did they cut a huge part of the movie or what? Why did they kiss? What are the reasons? I wish they would stop following fan fiction sites.
The movie was long and yet it still feels like they left a lot of crucial background information out. That would explain why many scenes are very unwanted and made with no sense.

Tbh if anakin just gives a speech or just gives ray energy then Im done because I want to see anakin beat sidious once and for all.
