Class systems have never looked more down to earth yet perfect before. Though Bong wants you to feel for both parties, the lines will blur at certain points and make your sympathy for anyone bounce back and forth with feverish consequences. Everyone has a sense of selfishness to them when it comes to goals, but being nice doesn"t take that much effort. The film focuses on poverty, desperation and what we are willing to do to take what should be ours. Tension between upperclass elegance and underground threat has never been more in your face. Bong (Okja) always loves to blur the lines of genre and he makes sure he hits every step on the staircase, to succeed in his efforts. First peach dust thrown by Ki Woo, Second KiTaek took the photo, Third convincing Mrs Park, Fourth peach dust thrown by Ki Jung & Fifth the bloody tissue. This was one of the best films in 2019 in my opinion. There wasn"t a single moment where the film became boring or felt like a scene was out of place. I thought it was interesting that the start of the montage, when it says she may look like a sheep, but on the inside she"s a fox. sometimes she acts like she owns the house, it"s referring to the housekeeping, but the camera lingers on Ki-Jeong and those words could sort of refer to her too since she"s very cunning but acts innocent, and later her family points out how easily she fits into the Park"s lifestyle. Full movie. When you realized that the light wasn't sensor activated at all. I fear no man. but that light. it scares me. Sorry to say it but Americans can be really annoying sometimes. like the whole world is learning English wtf is your problem with the other languages. This movie is a vastly overrated film, but still had some cool moments. It just starts off very slow and the first hour is interesting but does drag on after a bit. The story is good, but it just goes on and on without any real purpose. It doesn't really go anywhere until the mid point, which has a really cool twist and you feel like the movie will bring up the topic of debt, but it just sort of stops. Then suddenly the final 20 minutes becomes Friday the 13th.
The biggest issue is that you never feel for the main characters. They have no backstory. They are poor, and nothing else. They can't even fold pizza boxes yet still complain when the owner takes off 10% from them. They are kinda unlikable and are pretty much scammers. They cost people their jobs by lying and we are supposed to feel bad for them? They go into people's house and stay there while the people go on trips. You just don't feel for them, and at the end they try to have this big emotional revelation but it completely fails. Why would we feel bad for a bunch of poor scammer who end up being murderers?
In the end it had some cool and intense scenes, a hot sex scene, some cool violent scenes, but it is not a masterpiece. The story really goes nowhere and in the end it just ends up exactly where it started. SNOWPIERCER is a masterpiece! Go watch that instead.

The only movie where you care for every character almost equally. Not gonna lie. I thought this was about to be a live action film of the anime Parasite the Maxim. Lol. Still looks really good though. I think this might be the best video that you have made. (Just my opinion... The Fifth Element - Full Movie - video dailymotion. Some things I noticed/learned about the move. Spoiler alert First: Someone commented how unrealistic that the rich family never noticed the sliding door (with metal track on floor visible) that reveals the path down. And the rich couple don't notice the people hiding under the table. The rich couple don't notice things under them, because they don't look down. Consciously and unconsciously, they don't look down. They don't want to see/know/interact with what's under them, because it makes them uncomfortable, vulnerable, etc. That's a line the rich couple don't want to cross down. But the poor are always looking up. The poor family looking out the widow from the semibasement home. Looking up the steep path/stairs going up as they head to the rich family's home. Second: Also, the large window in the rich family's living room has the ratio of 21:9. When the rich look out from the living room, what they want to see OR inevitably see is entertainment. Like seen through a wide aspect screen. So many layers and layers of meanings in all the scenes.

Notice how the kid adoptes this Native persona while how his Art Tutor adoptes the American identity. The American invades the Native's land. Also note how the first time we meet the kid, he shoots an arrow, indicating the start of battle for his land. Every time Bong asked “ why” I got anxiety... I felt like I was in my literature class lol. This movie really isnt what I expected. And thats a good thing. Its a great movie and everyone should watch it.

Literally just came back from the movie, it was mind blowing, highly recommended.
