This was my 2nd all time favorite movie theater experience behind The Sixth Sense in 1999.
It's been a long time since I first heard of this movie. The rumors about a space-travel movie by Cristopher Nolan immediately got me excited. In a few months I started watching every picture, trailer or interview about this new "Interstellar" movie.
Finally I got the chance to see it, just yesterday, on day 1. and. alright. Good movie, a full 8. Great acting by Matthew McConaughey in a not usual role for him, great visuals and special FX and then... a lot of ups and downs. Definitely was expecting more by the plot, that it seems interesting at the beginning and then it solves to nothing, with many unfilled holes that "maniacs" like me love to know. The film is long enough, maybe too long, and sometimes it happens to realize that the pace slows down a lot, just to accelerate few moments later all of the sudden. The ending is also a no, for me.
I was maybe expecting more from it, but I understand it's still a very good movie, with some traces of classics like 2001: A Space Odyssey by Stanley Kubrick, and previous Nolan's blockbusters like Inception.
