Abstract: On the Polynesian island of Motunui, the inhabitants worship the goddess Te Fiti, who brought life to the ocean, using a stone as her heart and the source of her power. Despite the tedious amount of singing throughout the film, Moana (2016) revealed to an audience of a widely unknown culture through an animated story. Maui, voiced my Dwayne Johnson shows an alteration for the persona of his character as well as impacting the very story in which he plays one of the main protagonists. Moana (Auli'i Cravalho) however opens the audience to a realm of hope, duty, and resilience in which has great application to her character within this culturally defined film. Overall the mix of personalities throughout the film, as well as the adventurous tone allows Moana (2016) to be an experience worth watching. I love how every chance she gets when she's young she's always trying to run back to the sea.

It's not a normal princess romantic movie. They make and female characters help each other and grow to have a great friendship that's not romantic. My favorite Disney movie to date. This is a really exciting movie to watch. I was captivated the whole time. For me, Moana is very relatable as I too am at a stage in life where I'm taking a huge leap of faith in myself. It motivates me to go forward and think about how far I can go. A truly inspirational movie. The songs are really good too.

Great, Fun movie.
I won't go into details about the whole Maui thing, but what made it fun for me was seeing Hawaiian, Samoan, Tongan and yes, New Zealand polynesian cultures in a big mishmash which offended no-one (I hope. One day I'll know, if I go there's just no telling how far I'll go. OK. I am a fan of Dwayne Johnson, ever since his days as a wrestler with the WWE, called The Rock. IN this movie,the songs were great. The setting was beautiful. And the story not too complicated. Newcomer Auli'i Cravalho was great with her voice acting and wish her the best of luck in the future. If you stick around for the after-credits scene, there is a very cool but funny pop culture reference to a classic Disney animated film. Instead of spending money on that over-rated snooze-fest " The Edge of Seventeen" take the family out to see this film. This is type of animated film, that will make you laugh and make you cry. This movie is great in showcasing a new side to Dwayne Johnson. Apart from the villain being underused, this movie is great. 9 of 10 stars.

I remember watching this in the theater and the I am Moanaaaaa put like awoken my inner spirits I never everr jumped out of my seat and just lost mind like that before. Such a beautiful scene. I'd rather be SHINNAAAYYY. lol.
