I completely refused to watch this movie for a long time. I did not understand the hype about it, I did not understand the hype about Robert Pattinson. And finally, one boring night, I rented the movie. I loved it! The romantic, heartwarming story of a forbidden love and I am a sucker for romance. This charming, softly speaking vampire falls for the beautiful girl. The story, that could have been pretty stupid, was very well played and very well directed. Pattinson was a revelation. While I think Kristen Stewart is a natural and can act very well, Pattinson practically carried the entire movie. He is so charming as Edward, his acting is very intense, the very essence of emotion. Kudos to this great talent. I was very impressed also with his full body / postural acting, something I've seen before only in a few actors, I think the most recent would be Brad Pitt. I truly believe he will be one of the greatest actors of his generation, if not the greatest. Keep it up, Robert! And to all the girls out there that dream about Pattinson, I have a couple of words for you: he is not Edward.

Unfortunately that was my mistake... Maybe the producers think that they can just put a bunch of popular (doesn't mean good) actors and actresses on one set and they already have a hit. Well, in my opinion it takes a little more than that! The screenplay was totally beyond logic, the scenes reminded me of a primitive way of shooting the film and the image of ALL the characters was simply unbearable for an intelligent viewer to look at! It seems like they made a charade of a story which was initially supposed to be quite good (not original, but good) romance. I'm VERY confused why they are making sequel with the same cast. Another disappointment? hopefully not. PS Luckily I've heard that books are MUCH better than the film.
