These days, I get excited over any new release. But boy was this one really good. Hugh Jackman gave his all, single-handedly elevating every scene with his infectiously charming personality. In particular, I also liked how the characters were portrayed to be morally grey, and how the creators did not go with a classic white/black hero/villain narrative. All in all, a real good time passer as we get through these difficult times.
This film's script is not historically accurate, as the writer was unable to obtain the life rights to the central male character that uncovered the embezzlement.
Bad Education- my score 6:5
The First half of Bad Education is good and promises to be a much better movie than it turns out to be.
It's well worth a look for the good performances. I feel though it could have been a much better film with more drama and a better script especially a better conclusion which is abrupt and in my opinion silly.
Excellent performances from Hugh Jackman who plays a closeted gay man Frank Tassone who is the beloved superintendent of New York's Roslyn school district. Also Allison Janney as Pam Gluckin his assistant.

It's a pity the screenwriter Mike Makowsky and Director Corey Finley didn't put more emphasis on the storyline based on the article titled "The Bad Superintendent."published in New York Magazine by Robert Kolker. It's a long film and had plenty of time for a decent conclusion rather than screen credits explaining the outcome a trial I feel would have added drama to the movie.
