What's crazy is that you don't have to know ANYTHING at all about Alita, the source material, or manga. I went in with ZERO expectations (well done marketing people. sarcasm.
When I came out, I was like "Wow great movie! and that was that... But then, something weird happened... A couple days later I started thinking about the movie again. And again... and then I had to re-watch it... then I took friends... then I bought merchandise! This came out of nowhere.
