Stream the lighthouse movie. This movie tries its best to display what lies inside the blackest reaches of one's mind. This is like a lovecraft story. True horror on a screen. I have a personal interpretation of what actually happened (and what it means. But it truly doesn't matter what I think. This reminds me of that scene from The Shining when Jack goes inside room 237 and finds the naked lady.

Wow.
The first thing that greets you when watching this film is a black and white image of the sea, in an unusual aspect ratio, and the horrifying sound of a loud foghorn. This instantly lets you know what kind of film this is, and oh how wonderful it is. The black and white imagery, score, sound editing, costume and set designs combined with absolutely outstanding acting from Defoe and Pattinson gives this movie a feeling of being straight out of the early 1900s and it ensures a very odd and spooky mood that i find completely lovely.
Through the perspective of Pattinson's character, a very weird but interesting story unfolds in which we see the two lighthouse keepers decend into madness. This is brilliantly executed and acted, and most certainly career best performances from both Pattinson and Defoe.
The ending really confused me at first but I didn't really mind as I was too busy loving the rest of the film. After rewatching parts of it and really analyzing what confused me upon first viewing, I think i have it all figured out and this made me love it even more.
This is a fantastic movie and a candidate for the best movie of 2019. Hats of to Robert Eggers and the rest of the cast and crew.
That title reveal gave me hardcore goosebumps, holy shit. Movie stream the lighthouse 2. I love him so much. I just watched him as Van Gogh. It was such a beautiful touching portrayal. Best film of 2019. Felt like a 70s film. Pacing was phenomenal. Great storytelling. No pandering to make the lead character virtuous. Every moment of chaos was worth it.
