itoaware-The Exterior

Hello every one!！

There are many maze-like narrow alleys in Nakazakii-cho.

A lot of people exploring the area think "I wonder what's at the end of this alley?”. They all enjoy the day going in and out of these alleys.

itoaware is also located in one of these narrow alleys. Our owner is very particular about the appearance of the exterior of our shop. It melts in with the retro surroundings and the items have been chosen so that people passing by will stop and take interest in our shop.

Shop's name plate

The golden name plate matches the brown wall to which it is attached. "itoaware" is written in black on the plate.

We are very proud of this name plate and  the people passing by also say it" s very beautiful. It’s also very photogenic, so some customers take a commemorative photo placing their hands with their newly made rings on the plate. 

Retro lights

A light with a retro taste is installed on top of the name plate so that it illuminates it with a warm glow.  A light selected to blend in with the atmosphere of a old Japanese house in Nakazaki-cho.....When it gets dark, the gentle light gives a comfortable feeling.

Lattice window

On the wall next to the door, there is a Japanese-style lattice window.

There are many people who stop by to peep through the window thinking "what kind of a shop is this?"

Some people are attracted by the calm comfortable atmosphere inside the shop and

become curious to know what kind of rings we handmake and come right into our shop. This makes all of us all very happy.

Wooden chair

There is a wooden chair under the window that has a somewhat nostalgic atmosphere. Sitting on a chair like this at grandma's house......it's like a scene from a Showa era movie. It completely blends into the surronding scenery so it seems as if it's been there for a long long time. This is also a great splot for those who like photography.

Small standing signboard

There is a small standing signboard next to the door casually telling people passing by that we are a "YUBIWA YA" ("RING SHOP"). It is coordinated in the same gold-based color as the name plate.

I love the look and feel of the exterior of our shop. I feel soothed every day. If you come to Nakazaki-cho, please come and visit us in this retroric atmosphere.
