I watched all these movies when I was young and never understood anything about it because I had no idea what the real world was like now that Im 16 I rewatched these movies and understand everything and it makes me sad that this could be a possibility in real life I love these movies and the books I can honestly say the hunger games is on of the best movie series in the world. This scene is so awesome, and totally sold the movie! Snow's reaction is so great! He knew his fate was sealed, but Katniss never ceases to impress! In the face of adversity, doing what had to be done, and truly ending the Hunger Games! To everyone asking why Snow laughed: it is because he knew that Coin was just like him, and was shocked/impressed that Katniss killed her, and realizes the same thing.

THE HUNGER GAMES
I was not very eager to see this. I saw the trailer and thought it looked just like a rip off of one of my favourite foreign movies, Battle Royale.
It had it's similar parts, but in the most part it made the story it's own.
The film is about a TV show called the Hunger Games. Every year 2 people from different areas have to compete in the games. they have no choice. 24 people are in an area and must fight to the death until there is only one person left alive.
The film centres around one character from District 12, Katniss. She is a talented hunter which definitely helps her with the Games. but she has a nightmare along the way.
The acting was actually quite good. There were a lot of good actors in this movie. some I had heard of before and some that are new to me. Katniss was played by Jennifer Lawrence. I had only ever seen her in X- Men First Class. She was good in that, and she was good in this also. Other cast members are Woody Harrelson, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz, Stanley Tucci & Donald Sutherland.
I am a big Woody Harrelson fan. he is in one of my favourite films ever. Natural Born Killers. I didn't know he was in this until I watched it. it was a good surprise.
The characters are great. I love the look of the film and the characters. Their make-up and costumes were awesome. They reminded me in a way of a Tim Burton movie. They were colourful but creepy. The effects were really good too.
The action was really good, but a bit gory for kids. My 12 year old daughter watched it and I thought it was a bit harsh for her. She was fine though and loved the film. I really enjoyed the action. There was some amazing fighting scenes. It was well choreographed and put together.
I will give this film 7 out of 10.
It was very enjoyable and I am looking forward to Catching Fire.

Thank you so much saved money and watched it with great quality almost wanted to go to the movie theatre but i found this i also got really emotionel at the ru part and it made me realize that if i went out to watch it i would embariss myself by crying like a little baby XD. I watched the movie before I read the book so I just imagined the cast. The hunger games csfd. Lol @ all of the misinterpretations of this. Snow = extremist capitalism (he's actually kind of a Trump-like figure. And then Coin = extremist communism. The only traits that tied the two of them to each other were their proclivity for authoritarianism and their embrace of extremist economic/political ideologies. Coin was obviously the more anti-war, egalitarian, and reasonable of the two tyrants, but a tyrant nonetheless. Katniss didn't prevent another war by killing Coin. She prevented another autocracy from assuming power. What she did was give back political power to the society. she gave democracy a chance to flourish as opposed to allowing another tyrant to abuse their dominion.
