Perfect Size! Ring Making

Even if  you get your favorite ring, what if the size is too loose or too tight? If you don't feel comfortable, you would stop wearing it. Such a sad situation has to be avoided by all means.

Today, I would like to introduce two secrets to make the ring a perfect size.

Points to note when measuring the size

One of the pleasures of choosing a ring is to wonder "which finger should I wear the ring?"

At itoaware, you can choose freely from the ten fingers (right and left). Next, decide the width of the ring, Once you have made your choice, we will then measure the size of your finger with a ring guage.

Here's the first point. For example, even if the measured size was No.9, the size may vary according to the width of the ring. If you choose a ring that is narrower than the width of the ring guage, at size No,9 it may feel loose. On the other hand, if you choose a ring which is wider than the ring guage, then it may feel tight. It is important to adjust the size according to the width of the selected ring.

How to reach the perfect size

At itoaware, a hammer is used to texture the ring with the texture selected by our customer which is called forging.  Hammering is an technique used from ancient times making use of the property of the metal. When hit with a hammer, the ring gradually expands while at the same time the surface of the ring is textured. While performing this process, it is important to try on the ring several times before it reaches the size measured by the ring guage.

This is the second point. Even if it was hard for you to find a ring that fits your finger to the exact size, we make rings of "made-to-order" size that really fits comfortably.
