Characters - well-written, especially the evil villain of this story. I saw what the outcome of this villain's actions are going to be, but still, some characters are too gory to be put into a live-action Disney movie
Music - awesome, love re-listening to the old Maleficent soundtrack, and I am glad it is back and more wild.
