Synopsis Vito Corleone is the aging don (head) of the Corleone Mafia Family. His youngest son Michael has returned from WWII just in time to see the wedding of Connie Corleone (Michael's sister) to Carlo Rizzi. All of Michael's family is involved with the Mafia, but Michael just wants to live a normal life. Drug dealer Virgil Sollozzo is looking for Mafia families to offer him protection in exchange for a profit of the drug money. He approaches Don Corleone about it, but, much against the advice of the Don's lawyer Tom Hagen, the Don is morally against the use of drugs, and turns down the offer. This does not please Sollozzo, who has the Don shot down by some of his hit men. From Mario Puzo and Francis Ford Coppola, The Godfather, to me, was the movie of the 20th century. It had the perfect cast, screenplay, story, characters, set design, ect. It deserved every single Oscar that it was nominated for.

The Godfather tells the story of the Corleone family and their life of living in the Mafia territory. It tells how Don Vito (Marlon Brando) struggles to keep up with his business and how he will pass it on to his youngest son Michael (Al Pacino. The movie also tells about the life of Vito's oldest son Sonny (James Caan) the famous Fredo (John Cazele) and Vito's daughter Connie (Talia Shire.

Produced by Mario Puzo (Superman) and directed by Francis Ford Coppola (The Outsiders, Dracula. The Godfather is the greatest movie ever.

I just watched this movie for the first time and I didn't find anything special about this movie. In my opinion we shouldn't call a movie a good movie just because of famous actors or actresses. Maybe in 70s there were not good movies and this one was considered a good one! Anyway I personally didn't like it at all. The godfather movie hd. The godfather movie streaming. This isn't the first time I have seen this film, but circumstances have given me a chance to see it in a new light.
I bought a Blu Ray player, and this film was recommended as the film to see in the new format. I was not disappointed. The richness of the color made the film an extreme pleasure.
I also watched it with captions to not miss a word of the dialog.
There is nothing new that can be said about this film. It is a classic, and the actors are all superb, as is the story itself. It is rare that a film like this comes around, and watching it in Blue Ray just made it all extra special.
