The film masterpiece of the century. Set in the old New York, is a mix of where the center of it all is the Sicilian Mafia. Or rather, of Sicilian origin. The figure most stereotypical Italian of that time, becomes the protagonist in The Godfather. Movies with a few smudges, shot in close contact with Mario Puzo, author of the book, and after all inspired by a story that seems real. But the extraordinary nature of the film lies in the cast, the consecration of Marlon Brando, and the " launch " of artists like Al Pacino, Robert De Niro and again, Robert Duvall. In short, the good old Francis saw us right. The film legend. The same Italian dubbing is impeccable in almost all his version even if in the heart, keep the dubbing of Amendola to the voice of Michael Corleone. You could add so much, but given the affection I feel for the film but would only idolatry same. Excellent and for me it's a pain to see it - here on IMDb - only " second" for users. I just watched this movie for the first time and I didn't find anything special about this movie. In my opinion we shouldn't call a movie a good movie just because of famous actors or actresses. Maybe in 70s there were not good movies and this one was considered a good one! Anyway I personally didn't like it at all.

Best mafia film i have ever seen. Truely a masterpiece done to the T. As prevalent in relating the true nature of the mafia as such films as Goodfellas and company but every aspect of this film is so meticulously done.

This movie is strong, good script, great casting, excellent acting, and over the top directing. It is hard to fine a movie done this well, it is 29 years old and has aged well. Even if the viewer does not like mafia type of movies, he or she will watch the entire film, the audiences is glued to what will happen next as the film progresses. Its about, family, loyalty, greed, relationships, and real life. This is a great mix, and the artistic style make the film memorable.
