That small yellow Volkswagen looks so vulnerable. And that dissonant music and those howl sounds, my God. Absolutely terrifying. And the movie hasn't even begun yet. That, my friends, is Stanley Kubrick.

The only complaint I'd have with Doctor Sleep would be with the color correction and contrast, which tends to block every shot with an unnatural dark green coat. Whos here after the Doctor Sleep trailer. Some people apparently hate Shelley Duvall in this movie (including Stephen King himself. I guess she doesn't fit in their idea of a horror film scream queen - she looks and acts like she's genuinely scared. The director has really established himself as a professional haunted house filmmaker haha, with Haunting of Hill House he perfectly explained the emotions of the familys history by using the horror and hauntings, and with Doctor Sleep he expressed Dannys own haunted emotions and memories in the Overlook Hotel while also recapturing the darkness and depth of Kubricks original masterpiece. I Love The Shining so much. The Shining is an awesome and great film with Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall, The Shining is one of my favorite films of all time, and they don't make awesome and great movies like this from 1971 to 1995 anymore. The kid who played Danny in Doctor Sleep was a terrible choice for that role. Overall, the movie was great. The shining redrum. The Shinning is an example of how you correctly make a horror movie. Psychological and dread, not jump scares and sudden noises. Parties back then looked so classy! I think I was born in the wrong time. The shining opening music. The shining 1980.
