Amazing. Best Marvel film to date by far. This film ticked every box you could have hoped for and really opened up several options for them to take in Avengers 4. The film overall was easily a 9.5/10, my favourite Marvel movie yet and I can't wait till the continuation is released next year.
Thanos was amazing. You could really see the goal and aspirations he had weren't just for an evil purpose of hurting the Avengers or an old enemy but to really help the universe and fix the finite of space and resources he says the universe has. This really shows a strong and unforgettable villain when you are able to relate to the character and they also have emotion and mourn. This is clear when he has to trade the soul stone for Gamora's life it breaks him showing his true love he had for his adopted daughter even though he needed to do so to complete his aspirations. You can clearly see the film as Thanos' film, following his path to snapping his fingers and completing his goal of universal peace and completion.
All character dynamics were amazing. Especially the new ones. I loved the character dynamic between Thor and the Guardians and between Iron Man and Doctor Strange. The way they managed to give all the characters screen time and development was perfect considering the large amount of cast the film had to offer. The job the Russo brothers did was phenomenal. The way it was all pieced together was just perfect and I honestly can't think of many ways they could have improved the film.
Every actor did an amazing job reprising their roles. The cast they have for these films has always been outstanding and seeing them all work together was just perfect. My favourite character in this film by far has to be Thor. After the start of the film you can really see Thor's drive to defeat Thanos after he has lost everything important to him. Starting off the film by killing Heimdall and Loki was a complete shock for me and it led to Thor's amazing path to make Stormbreaker and get revenge for his brother and best friend. He even manages to be the only avenger to cause real pain to Thanos before he snaps his fingers. I also loved the way he was written with every character just with the jokes and it was just perfect. My favourite Guardian without a doubt would have to be Drax. His one liners or just utter stupidity had me in bits every time. Cannot get enough of his character.
The way this film ended was always going to be Thanos snapping his fingers and half the universe being destroyed. But what happened after was a complete shock for me. The characters they chose to fade into dust were very specific to lead into the next film. It was a very emotional ending but all credit goes to Tom Holland for actually bringing tears to my eyes. His performance was phenomenal and outstanding and he was honestly just amazing in the film. His "death" felt so real and the dynamic between him and Iron Man was incredible.
I honestly had the highest expectations for this film and they reached them and I cannot wait for Avengers 4.
