So before Inception, Christopher Nolan made Doodlebug, Following, Memento, Insomnia, Batman Begins, The Prestige, The Dark Knight. And looking at that kind of filmography, there can be no way that this movie is bad.
Inception is one of the best movies I have ever seen in my entire life! This is one of the reasons why I love movies and it exceeded my expectations! Modern Filmmakers should learn from this movie!
The Acting in this movie is flawless, we have an all-star cast staring Leonardo DiCaprio, Ken Watanabe, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Tom Berenger, and Michael Caine. Leonardo DiCaprio gives the audience another great performance as always and I still can't believe that he hasn't won an Oscar yet! Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a great actor, he was good in " 500) Days of Summer" but in this movie, he shows that he can play a different character pull it off perfectly! Tom Hardy (before playing Bane) was excellent, he fit his role perfectly. Michael Caine has a brief role in this movie and I don't even have to tell you he's good because no matter what he's in, he's never bad.
The Writing is intelligent, this is one of the most original stories I have ever seen in my entire life. It's 100% original that you don't even know what will happen in the next scene and the story takes us into directions we didn't expect and that brings the quality of the film higher.
Hans Zimmer's score in this movie is fantastic, not only is this movie original but also the score is, and this is my favorite score from him!
The effects are astounding, they looked so realistic that my jaw dropped many times! Some scenes where effects are used and it has to do with a building, it looks like it was a real scale but it was a set and that is so mind blowing about the effects in Christopher Nolan's movies, he uses practical effects over CGI.
This movie is a blockbuster but not in a way where it's a mindless blockbuster. It's a smart, thought-provoking, perfectly paced blockbuster film and another thing I love about Christopher Nolan's movies is that he always gives us something new and his movies aren't just for mindless entertainment, you have to pay attention and think when you're watching the movie.
I rarely leave the theater satisfied nowadays and it seems like the only Director that satisfies me is Christopher Nolan: he is intelligent, hard-working, reliable, and consistent.
I could not have asked for a better movie, Inception is Christopher Nolan's Masterpiece.
