♥♥♥LOVE IS IN THE AIR♥♥♥

Hi everybody!

Last Saturday a few students asked me about the expression♥♥♥Love is in the air♥♥♥ Actually, “何々 ＋ be動詞 ＋ in the air” is not the most useful phrase but it is a fun expression so let’s practice it a little more. (実は“何々 ＋ be動詞 ＋ in the air” はそんなに役に立つ表現じゃないかもしれないけど、時期的な言い回しで使うのが楽しいみたいだからもうちょっと連絡しましょう。)

バレンタインの前:

Love is in the air. (「どこでもみんながバレンタインのこととか愛のことを考えている」とか「空気の中でハートマークが飛んでいるという意味なんですね。」)☆

クリスマスの前:

Christmas is in the air. (「どこでもみんながクリスマスのことを考えてる」とか「道がクリスマスの飾りや季節的なソングで雰囲気がクリスマスって感じ！」)

春の前:

Spring is the air. (←この言い回しは今日大リーグのウェブサイトで読みました！ もうすぐ春キャンプだよ！と言う意味なんですね。)

夏の前:

Summer is in the air. (←6月の頭になったらこの言い回しも時々言います。)

後、“Fall is in the air” とか “Winter is in the air”って言っても変ではないけど “何々 is in the air” はちょっと楽しいニュアンスがあるから fall と winter の場合は“is in the air”の代わりに普通の “is coming” を使いましょう。
