Chilling. Easily within the top 10 films i have EVER seen. hopkins is absolutely incredible. Buffalo Bills facial expressions and voice tones are fantastic, a truly classic scene. Just finished the movie yesterday and IT WAS AMAZING. IDK WHY I LEFT IT FOR SO LONG.

The main charecter Clarice Starling is constantly seen as weak as her role as a detective. She breaks gender fields and succeeds in capturing buffalo bill and brining justice to the victims family. It shows the problems we face as society when we neglect trans americans. As buffalo bull is trying to find his inner self, the film shows great attention to how people treat him as a lunatic. The film makes a great discussion on 2 important topics; gender and identity. In the end, this movie is very structured and well polished.

And then what happens? Jodie Foster is in an endless chase scene, alone with a man with whom NO MAN would ever find himself. Her professionalism is completely lost.
This ending is so disappointing as to make the entire picture a waste.

Silence of the Lambs really is a masterpiece. Having read the book before I watched the film, I can say I was surprisingly pleased with the film adaptation. I cant say that about most film adaptations unfortunately.
